Reiki

What Is Reiki?

Why Is It Called That?

It is a Japanese Healing Art that enhances the body’s natural ability to repair and rejuvinate. Reiki is gentle, yet profound, non-invasive, non-manipulative therapy which frees energetic blockages, corrects energy imbalances and recharges energetically depleted areas of the body.

The word Reiki (pronounced Ray – Key) comes from two Japanese kanji.

“Rei” – Universal soul or spirit

“Ki” – Energy

Together, the two words translate to “Universal Life-Force Energy”

Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religious practice or religion.

yin and yang, fire, water

How Does It work?

spiritualism, awakening, meditation

Life Is Energy

Underlying matter in all forms is energy, vibrating at different frequencies. Universal Life Force energy is simply the energy which surrounds and flows through every living thing. If this Life-Force Energy is low, we are more susceptible to illness or dis-ease. If it is high, we are more capable of maintaining physical, mental and emotional health.

Reiki Flows

A Reiki practitioner has learned to become a strong conduit through which Life-Force energy flows. They tap into and direct the energy in a deliberate way, most commonly through the hands. This Reiki energy flow works in conjunction with the energy systems in and surrounding the body; chakras, meridians and the layered bodies of the Aura.

About The Course

hands, light, trust

An amazingly simple technique to learn, Reiki is not “taught” in the usual sense. Instead, it is reawakened. Attunements, performed by a Reiki Master/Teacher allow the student to more fully tap into the unlimited supply of Life-Force Energy. Coursework that accompanies the Attunements, helps the student understand and direct the power of this energy. Anyone of any age, background or current state of health can learn Reiki and immediately begin to apply it to their life. Because Reiki is Universal Life-Force Energy, it is free-flowing to all living beings. To make use of this loving energy requires only an open heart and mind. No special beliefs or religious practices are necessary.
